Rhonda & Tim have been married for 21 years and have 3 kids, ages 18, 16 and 11. They live in Lenexa, Kansas, where they own and operate Lenexa Strength & Fitness Personal Training in their home gym.
They are both ISSA Certified Fitness Trainers and NESTA Certified Fitness Nutrition Coaches, with certifications in various other fitness-related fields completed and ongoing as well. Rhonda is also an ACE Certified Personal Fitness Trainer.
Rhonda has been involved and interested in fitness/sports most of her life. She especially enjoys working with girls, moms, and ladies of all ages, helping them make the fitness lifestyle a part of their everyday life. She believes that "...the benefits of physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle are extremely valuable because they help you be the best you can be in virtually all other areas of your life. Whether you’re a child, parent or grandparent—whether you’re a student or a busy executive—whatever your current fitness level is, you can begin where you are, make improvements, and begin reaping the many benefits. Once you see the changes in your life and how you feel, you will never want to live without a good, healthy physical fitness program again.”
Tim has been weight training competitively for about 20 years. Besides helping people develop a fitness lifestyle and reach their greatest potential, he also enjoys training clients for various other competitive athletic events, as well as doing youth sports specific training. He currently works about twice a week with a group of lifters known as the “Dawg Pound, "training for competitive lifting. (For more info, see the “Dawg Pound” link on the home page.) Tim set the Kansas State Record for bench press in the novice division in 1999, benching 429 lbs. He set the Kansas State and the American Record for bench press in the pure division on March 5, 2005 with a bench of 512.57 lbs. In his spare time you can find him coaching youth baseball and football as well.
